Samuel Eshun

Samuel EshunWhen Samuel heard about Trinity Yard School, he was very eager to join. He is not local to Cape 3 Points and the commute to school from Agona, where he lives with his mother, would be impossible because of long distance travel. But nothing is impossible for Samuel. He found a place to stay with a family in the village next to Trinity Yard in exchange for some work around the farm. On the weekends Samuel reunites with his mother after a long cycle to Agona.

Samuel is bright and cool-headed individual. Samuel excels in all the subjects and has shown a real talent in English, Reading and Math. He is eager to know all the answers and always asks questions, creating a debate in the classroom. Samuel understands the value of education and he doesn’t want to come back to the dangerous gold mining business that he used to do as a child.

After graduating from Trinity Yard School, Samuel wants to do an apprenticeship to become a Mechanical Engineer and operate heavy machinery.

Although the cost of each vocational school placement varies, as does the ability of the graduates’ families to contribute, an average placement costs Trinity Yard approximately $1,800 for a typical three-year program (inclusive of tuition, student fees, material costs, food, housing, transportation, etc.).
