Faustina is an always smiling, frequently laughing, exuberant, 19-year-old from Cape Three Points. The youngest of nine siblings, Faustina’s pleasant demeanor, strong work ethic, and trustworthiness make her a natural leader among her peers both in and out of school.
Prior to enrolling as a student at the Trinity Yard School, Faustina spent nearly a year working at the Yard, helping cook, clean, and make life easier for volunteers and staff. She continues in that role each and every Saturday when our full-time staff is busy with our weekly shopping trip in the big city. Given the delicious meals she cooks up for us, it’s no surprise Faustina dreams of someday working for a large catering company or opening her own catering business. To make that dream a reality and to continue building upon the English and Math skills she has developed while a student at Trinity Yard School, Faustina wants to attend catering school following graduation.
Although the cost of each vocational school placement varies, as does the ability of the graduates’ families to contribute, an average placement costs Trinity Yard approximately $1,800 for a typical three year program (inclusive of tuition, student fees, material costs, food, housing, transportation, etc.).
