Recognized for having the best giggle among the Class of 2014, 16-year-old Comfort is a lively and popular student who enjoys going to church, listening to music, and dancing. Comfort’s creativity and attention to detail have resulted in her producing some really beautiful pieces of Kente this year. She has a great eye for fashion and design and would like to take on a dressmaking apprenticeship after graduating from Trinity Yard School. Someday she hopes to open her own dressmaking shop and train other aspiring young women to design and sew their own fashion creations.
Although the cost of each apprenticeship placement varies, as does the ability of the graduates’ families to contribute, an average placement costs Trinity Yard approximately $1,800 for a typical three year program (inclusive of tuition, student fees, material costs, food, housing, transportation, etc.).
